Web Design Education.
Education Overview
At ZakGraphix, it's our goal to educate our clients on the basics of website ownership. Personally, I think EVERYONE should try and understand a little about how the magic behind the curtain works. It would make my job easier - and it would make the future of the web a whole lot brighter! Domain purchases, how DNS works, shared hosting versus a virtual server, the types of web development languages, proper SEO, and generally the do's and don'ts of website upkeep and growth.
If you just curious, read down through For Business Owners. That's about as far as you'll want to go, at least for now. Because websites take time they are usually built by businesses or groups of people (communities) donating their time and resources for their development. The first source of website development (businesses) usually bases their web design on how much they can afford, and who they choose to do their website. This is where the web has generally fallen apart.
My goal is to bring a new standard to web design. Weed out those who are charging too much money for ancient technology, and weed out those who think they are web designers because they took a class in HTML. By setting a new standard, we can have both re-invest in their education and come back to the world of web development with a more competative outlook.
